We picked up a stove top smoker through Amazon. I've not seen this type of unit before, but after one use I totally get it. We just sprinkle a tablespoon of our favorite wood chips in the base, and place our vegetables, tofu, or animal products on the rack for anywhere from 4 minutes to - 50 minutes. We smoked some tofu steaks and peppers this afternoon with hickory chips. I immediately did a rough grind of some mesquite pods thinking that we can probably smoke with those through the winter for more deliciousness.
