Youth Center Fun!

During our evening walk Sesame and I came across this trashed vehicle. It had been gutted of internal electronics and looked like someone had been hitting it for hours. I took a few photos thinking it important for documentary purposes. On our way home from the park we saw about 50 high school kids gathered around. They were hitting the vehicle with a sledge hammer and jumping on various parts of it. This is all taking place behind the christian youth center known as "The Club". It looked like they even had adult supervision.

It probably was a church sponsored thing. In high school at youth group someone donated a car for us to smash, but I can't remember how that was suppose to represent evangelism or anything. The high school foot ball team smashed a couple cars too, one for each of their opponents at homecoming and at the state game. Kind of funny, they lost both games!
A lot of times it's done as a fundraiser, where you pay X dollars and get to smash the hell out of whatever for so many minutes.
that sounds like a hoot!
