Projector Repair a Success

Projector Repair a Success

Our projector is up and running again. The $55 replacement bulb worked like a champ. I had to remove about dozen screws and keep track of the four lamp connection wires. I think anyone can do this swap for the old Lumen Lab projectors (v.1). Here are the specs again on the bulb I used.

CMH150/T/U/942/G12
150W MH T6 4200K G12 Base
92586 GE Brand
M81, M102, M142 ANSI Code

sometimes presentations, mostly movies. This is our TV although we don't have cable.

I just ordered one of these bulbs for my Lumenlab Projector V.1.

Thanks for posting the info!

Been looking forever for a compatible replacement.

How has it been running so far?

I see it runs a different K rating than the original. Has the 4200K been any issue for you?

It ran for a few months like new. Then the bulb failed to fire reliably. I still tinker with it and can get it to come on, but it might not be the ideal bulb. I couldn't find anything else close on specs.

Thanks. The bulb just arrived, and I am going to install it and give it a try.

Will keep looking for a bulb that more closely matches the original (keeping the old bulb for information).

I have a friend that works with lighting and electrical that may be able to help, but haven't talked to her in years.

Need to hunt her down and ask her a few questions about it.

Will post any success I have here.

Thanks again.

@ranman448

I'm going to try 3 x 3W white LEDs (if I can fit them all in).
