LumenLabs EVO V.1 DIY Projector Repair

I bought a inexpensive projector almost four years ago. I have been using the same bulb the entire time. Last night the bulb blew on leaving me without a easy replacement option. LumenLabs the company has moved onto other things and does not sell the bulb or even a close description of what to replace it with. I ended up taking the projector apart and found a few issues along with the bulb info. The air filters were in great need of cleaning and one component had melted a bit by coming loose inside the case. This is the replacement lamp I went with $55 plus $10 shipping. Hope it works!

I was so close to buying one of those a couple of years ago, but the quality control issues were a nightmare. I felt bad for Grayson (aka Brainchild) after he threw in the towel and finally gave up trying to sell these Made in China disasters, he really tried his best to come up with a low cost projector alternative.
I'm glad he moved on to something much better with the Micro, at least he can control the quality now.

I wish you luck with your bulb! I never resisted buying a projector because of it's specifications, it was always the bulbs that made me hesitate so far.

I'm currently using a Sanyo LCD projector for sometime now and I haven't had much issues with it. The resolution is great as well and I'm using this for my home theater system. Our kids stay home more often because of this.
