Bee Keeping and a Rebar Dutch Oven Solution

Bee Keeping and a Rebar Dutch Oven Solution

Jay and Ryanne made the long journey from Virginia to our homestead for the fourth time this year. They taught us about their recently acquired bees. Their queen + hive arrived in late summer so they won't get to do much besides feed the bees sugar water until next spring.

I'm not sure what Andy might have said to get Jay so motivated, but he spent a few hours welding up some rebar to work with the dutch oven. I mentioned before that our fire pit was too deep to use the small metal lid remover the ovens come with. Now Andy and Jay both have fancy lad custom dutch oven lid removers.

Discovery channel has done two pieces on us and contacted me about ~5 times since we started. Most of the stuff doesn't pan out. Maybe they will be back soon.
