There is a creative weirdness about Truth or Consequences that is hard to describe. It's kinda random and a bit off kilter. A while back there was a great graffiti tag on a building on my corner. It said, "Your life is a lie." I loved it and was bummed when it got painted over. Then there was a round of drawings on paper that were pined to telephone poles for a while. They depicted personal scenes between members of this community. Clearly someone was pissed off. Most recently an artist left about 9 (we think) original works around town to be found and discovered. And there's a great tagger who's been hitting boarded up windows with flowers. She made the paper. This morning I got this song/poem in my mail box. No envelope, no name, no signature, just what you see her. Another day in T or C.

I can't wait to get back there in October, go for a ride paint the shadows and people watch at the deli downtown-shake the snow off my wings and enjoy the slow crawl of being a desert rat again.
