Albuquerque library rainwater

While in Albuquerque visiting my mom I found this great rainwater
system at the local library. Needless to say thwir gardens looked
great. Looks like their 4 tanks are holding about 2500 gallons.

is there only the one drain hole? i want to set up a daisy chain myself but i'm not sure where to put the barrel connections/hose connections

That has to be the Wyoming branch, it has some other neat green features too. If you look into that window in the photo you will see that there is a brick wall directly behind it designed to be a Trombe wall. Now if only the rest of the city building could be built as eco friendly and smart....

As far as where to put the connections, I have mine near the top, however, if they are lower, say, 6 inches from the bottom, they will fill evenly. With mine at the top they fill as overflow into the next in line. A couple good rainfalls and it really doesn't matter because they will fill no matter where the connection is placed.
