Ouch Hernia!

One part of being a builder is injuries. I haven't nipped off a finger yet (fingers crossed). But this week I managed to bust a hernia. Holy suck! I'm gimping around hoping that by some feat of magic it'll pop back in. I guess I'll have to go under the knife if it doesn't. More lost days of work. Suck suck suck. For the next few days I'll be napping with my kitty.

Feel better. We're sending you lots of love from Santa Cruz... the hippie kind.

I like the use of Io the kitty for healing! Some people think that cats purr to repair microfractures in their broken bones they get from jumping from such great heights all the time, since the purr is at the resonant frequency of their bones.

When I had a broken foot, I would try to coax my two kitties to sit on either side of my foot and purr like crazy, which was sometimes hard with my cats not getting along so well.

Feel better Wendy!

Good luck with it. I hope you feel better.

I gave myself one in the spring moving an old cookstove into my house. It was small and the Dr. let me get away with not fixing it until I was ready. Biking and running and picking up 50 lb cat litter bags were all fine, so I waited until winter. I just had it repaired yesterday. Painful, but not the end of the world. It'll slow you down on the resort for a couple of months, though.

I love the blog you guys have put together and all the work you have been doing. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck and take care.
