Now that I have had sometime to explore our town in our neighborhood electric vehicle I am discovering all sorts of new places. I have been regularly driving along the river and through suburban neighborhoods that I have never explored. The views and scrap materials are amazing. I have even found roads that allow me to travel to the neighboring town. Only now am I realizing hown isolated I had been due to concerns about fuel rationing. Now that the electricity is free and the vehicle is working I really explore my immediate surroundings.

Dooooooooood, electric cars are a panacea for a society that can't get get around the four wheeled paradigm. Fight the automotive oppressors, man.
No seriously, how far are we talking here and have you considered a cargo bike or at least a honking trailer? You can do some pretty impressive gathering on two wheels.
Turn that raw nut slop directly into power by using a bike! Yeah!
